We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting awareness and knowledge of abuse, neglect & exploitation of elderly & disabled adults. Efforts to develop a volunteer board to support the Adult Protective Services Program in Tarrant county began in 2008 by the Department of Family and Protective Services.
To support APS in Tarrant County by raising awareness, fostering partnerships, and providing resources that empower at-risk adults, their caregivers, and those who serve them.
A world where every at-risk adult lives with dignity, safety, and access to the resources they need to thrive
We provide community education to increase awareness and raise funds for our resource rooms to provide life-saving items such as fans, space heaters, clothes and toiletries to those in need to improve their quality of life and promote community care.
Members advocate for laws, policies, and services that enhance the quality of life for elderly & disabled adults, such as health care, socialization, financial security, and safety. Through partnerships with other professionals and volunt, the board has enhanced APS staff’s capacity to better serve vulnerable adults.
