About TCAPS Community Board

Our Mission

To support Adult Protective Services in protecting vulnerable adults by fostering community partnerships, raising awareness, and connecting at-risk adults, caregivers, and professionals with the resources, education, and advocacy needed to ensure their safety, dignity, and well-being.To support APS in Tarrant County by raising awareness, fostering partnerships, and providing resources that empower at-risk adults, their caregivers, and those who serve them.

 The Tarrant County APS Advisory Board envisions a community where every at-risk adult thrives with dignity and safety. We support APS by raising awareness, fostering community partnerships, and providing resources to empower vulnerable adults, their caregivers, and those who serve them. Through advocacy, education, and collaboration, we strive to create lasting, positive impact.

Our Impact

 

The Tarrant County APS Advisory Board strengthens the safety net for vulnerable adults by:

  • Raising public awareness of abuse, neglect, and exploitation affecting at-risk adults
     
  • Mobilizing community resources to support APS clients with emergency needs (e.g., food, clothing, housing, transportation)
     
  • Educating families, caregivers, and professionals on recognizing and responding to signs of abuse or neglect
     
  • Building partnerships that connect APS with local organizations, donors, and volunteers
     
  • Promoting legislative and community advocacy that protects and empowers elderly and disabled adults
     

Through collaboration, compassion, and action, we help ensure that vulnerable adults in Tarrant County aren’t just protected — they’re seen, heard, and valued.
